Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care for short-stay patients.
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and post-procedure recovery progress .
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and other necessary treatments .
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and follow-up instructions .
• Coordinate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams .
• Ensure proper documentation of patient care, assessments, and treatments .
• Assist in discharge planning and coordination with outpatient services .
• Travel to various healthcare facilities for assignments .

Qualifications

• Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license .
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in a Short Stay Unit, PACU, Med-Surg, or similar setting .
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills .
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift patients, work in high-stress situations, and move quickly .
• Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments .
