Sales Director (Outside Sales Team)

MMC Group is hiring for a Sales Director for our client in Richardson, TX! Our client is a well-established B2B manufacturing and product distribution company, who is seeking an experienced, growth-focused Sales Leader to lead, train, and support an active sales team while driving overall territory expansion. This is not an individual-contributor territory role focused on cold calling end-user customers or builders. Instead, it is an ' In-House' Sales Leader who will act as the VP's 'right hand' to be the eyes and ears on the outside sales team. You will directly manage a team of 4 Outside Sales Reps and take full ownership of everything required to fuel their success and maximize territory production, including: travel, team training, and driving specialized industry/retail events. What You’ll Do: Lead & Support Sales Reps: Direct manager for 4 Outside Sales Representatives ; drive daily performance, strategy, and accountability while eliminating roadblocks for your team. Enable Territory Growth: Do everything in your power to support reps in the field through strategic co-travel, continuous product/sales training, and hands-on guidance. Drive Events & Engagements: Plan, organize, and execute special events, trade gatherings, and showroom/dealer engagements to boost channel presence and sales momentum. Bridge Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with executive leadership on territory strategy, go-to-market plans, and distributor/retailer alignment. Performance Tracking: Monitor rep metrics, track territory KPIs, and continuously refine training and outreach strategies to ensure target targets are hit. What We’re Looking For: 8+ years of overall B2B sales experience within manufacturing or product distribution, with 3–5+ years in a direct sales leadership, management, or team lead role . Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and enabling outside sales reps to hit quota. Willingness and desire to travel, conduct field training, and run targeted sales events. Background in appliances, ventilation, building products, or adjacent manufacturing/distribution sectors strongly preferred.
