This assistant project coordinator position is ideal for candidates with knowledge of flooring materials who want to contribute to a fast-growing, family-owned flooring and countertop construction company. You will assist project managers and company owners in managing commercial and residential flooring projects within a medium-sized team of 6-10 members. This role focuses on supporting project execution from start to finish with minimal client interaction and offers opportunities for advancement within project management.
Responsibilities
- Support project managers in coordinating flooring construction projects
- Manage flooring materials and coordinate deliveries
- Maintain clear communication with team members and stakeholders
- Prepare and organize project documentation, including submittals and close-out documents
- Assist in tracking project progress and milestone coordination
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met
- Coordinate samples and materials for project use
- Generate reports to support project tracking and management
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of flooring materials
- Experience with project coordination
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Reporting and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Problem-solving abilities
- Time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in the flooring industry
