Position: Business Analyst

Duration: 1 year

Location: Saint Paul, MN (Hybrid Mode)

The work is expected to be done with a hybrid of onsite and remote work. Service Delivery roles will typically work a hybrid schedule, with some onsite presence as requested. The frequency for onsite requests will depend on the project. Work environment location and timeline needs will vary by project and position and will be communicated at the time of Work Request execution.

Job Description:

This role ensures that solutions being developed satisfy the needs of the business. At varying levels, positions work with IS to identify opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes; are involved in following current procedures as well as the design or modification of business processes or systems; gathers, documents, and analyzes business needs and requirements; may help test changes and create procedural documentation.

• Perform tasks that are broader which requires problem identification, analysis and resolution.
• Analyze, document and improve business processes
• Create and write training documents
• Gathers and document business requirements
• May perform system testing and special projects.
• Analyze IS financial reporting
• Develop and write user reports and queries
• Develop training documents
• Provide technical assistance on system use and troubleshoot and respond to problems and client requests for assistance
• Analyze business processes and procedures to recommend best practices for improving business processes through information systems
• Provide knowledge transfer

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in business administration or field related to the specific position AND three (3) years related experience.
• Knowledge of workflow analysis, process improvement, and simplification techniques;
• Advanced Excel experience
• PowerPoint report development experience
• Ability to read, gather requirements, analyze data, and interpret procedures and regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to provide basic client services within the organization.
• Requires tact, courtesy and cooperation in dealing with others where the primary purpose is the exchange of information.
