Description - What You'll Do

• Conduct routine and complex clinical laboratory tests, including chemistry, hematology, and immunology, in accordance with established procedures.
• Evaluate test results for accuracy, address any discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as necessary.
• Thoroughly document all processes, mentor new staff or students, and contribute to the maintenance of quality standards in the lab.
• Ensure a clean and secure work environment while following regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree coupled with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be acquired within the first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification for the duration of your employment.
