We are employee-focused, an equal employment opportunity employer, and would love to have you join our team.Multiple shifts available:DAY SHIFT 06:00 am - 02:30 pm2nd SHIFT 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm3rd SHIFT 10:00 pm - 6:30 amschedule to be determinedThe job details include:Communicate effectively with carriers and other contacts regarding the inbound and outbound movements of their product.Have a full picture understanding of how to enter products into the WMS, how the product is stored, and shipped out of the facility.Engage with drivers and verify driver identification in order to assign them dock doors and ultimately check the drivers in and out.Be responsible for knowledge of product location within the warehouse to effectively assign dock doors.Effectively communicate any issues to the warehouse so they can plan accordingly.Accurately enter data into the system from the carrier/customers' paperwork to properly process inbounds.Generate the bill documentation, ensure the carrier reviews the paperwork, and confirm the driver has all the correct paperwork for the load with the correct destination.Report overages, shortages, defective materials, or questionable conditions as per the customer's requirements to the department supervisor and note on carrier/customer documentation.Be responsible for putting all necessary information regarding appointments, including driver's paperwork, seal, trailer number, etc.Act as the final checkpoint for order completion and accuracy prior to releasing the driver.Identify extra charges for pallets, overtime, labor, etc., and collect appropriate charges from the driver.Assist Customer Accounts with the posting of inbound and outbound shipments.Maintain professional relationships with carriers and customers.Act as a Welcome Center Associate and Security Guard when needed, including overseeing the complete check-in and check-out process, trailer verification procedure, checking the yard, and verifying sealed trailers.Work effectively outside in order to communicate with drivers.The job specifics include:Location, Department and Work Hours: Customer ServiceReports To: SupervisorTravel Amount: N/AWhat we are looking for:Education: High School Diploma or GEDExperience: 1 - 3 years preferred.Excellent communication skills, written and oral.Ability to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks, be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter into the computer the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order and processing database.Other abilities you will need to have:Good arithmetic, reading, and typing skillsSit and/or stand for extended periods of timeBe able to see, speak, and hearAbility to work overtime as neededMay require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, and lifting needed to carry out everyday activities.Understand and follow verbal instruction, written instruction, and company policies.A starter who can work independently and coordinate with othersFollow safety procedures at all times.Ability to manage stress and productivity guidelinesThe standard details include:Always maintain a professional manner in appearance and communications.Participate in staff and/or customer meetings if required.Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.Identify and record any issues relating to product, processes, and/or quality.Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through appropriate channels.Verify the implementation of solutions.Follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.Participate in Safety and Educational Training.What's in it for you:A great company with great people.
