Referral and Scheduling Coordinator

Become a part of our caring community The Referral and Scheduling Coordinator schedules and pre-registers patients for exams and procedures with specialists and providers outside of the primary care physician's office. The Referral and Scheduling Coordinator performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. The Referral and Scheduling Coordinator gathers and communicates all relative information and preparation instructions to patients and referring providers. You will work onsite at the Conviva Thousand Oaks Care Center located at 4455 Thousand Oaks Drive San Antonio, TX 78233. You will report to the Supervisor, Medical Referrals. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications 2 years of hands‑on healthcare experience in a clinical setting Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Proficient with medical terminology Experience with Electronic Medical Records Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration Bilingual English/Spanish Knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding Referral experience Additional Information This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $39,000 - $49,400 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
