About the Position

Tim Hortons is hiring dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Bakers to join our team in Austin, Texas!

As a Baker, you will play an essential role in delivering the fresh, high-quality baked goods that Tim Hortons customers know and love. You will be responsible for preparing, baking, finishing, and displaying a variety of bakery products, including donuts, Timbits, muffins, croissants, and other menu items, while maintaining our standards for quality, consistency, cleanliness, and food safety.

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in their work, and can help ensure our bakery is fully stocked and ready to serve customers throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, finish, and decorate bakery products according to Tim Hortons recipes, procedures, and quality standards.

• Ensure bakery items are prepared on time and available for morning rushes and throughout the day.

• Follow established production schedules, baking times, temperatures, and portion guidelines.

• Monitor product freshness, presentation, and quality to ensure an excellent guest experience.

• Maintain proper inventory levels and communicate product shortages to management.

• Minimize food waste by following production forecasts, portion controls, and proper product rotation.

• Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including ovens, proofers, and other kitchen equipment.

• Keep bakery workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitized.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.

• Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.

• Assist with receiving and organizing bakery deliveries and supplies.

• Work collaboratively with team members and management to support daily restaurant operations.

• Assist with other restaurant duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established operating procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

• Willingness to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, coffee shop, or quick-service restaurant.

• Experience operating commercial ovens or bakery equipment.

• Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling practices.

• Previous experience with Tim Hortons or a similar bakery concept.

No prior baking experience required — training will be provided for motivated candidates!

Compensation & Opportunities
