Technical Sales Representative

Company Description TKD² Group LLC are a team of sales and business development specialists operating in the automotive, defense, and industrial sectors. We help clients connect with new customers and build sustainable growth. The company specializes in cold-formed fasteners, stamping tools, powder metal, machined components, and plastic injection molded parts. With a strong focus on localization, manufacturing, and innovation, the team supports projects across automotive, EV, defense and related industries. Candidates joining TKD² will be part of a collaborative environment that values responsiveness, technical expertise, and long-term client relationships.
Role Description The Technical Sales Representative is a remote, 1099 position. This role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities within automotive, defense, motorsports, and related manufacturing sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with buyers and engineers, understanding technical requirements for components and tooling, supporting RFQ and quotations, maintaining the CRM system, and presenting solutions that meet customer needs. The Technical Sales Representative will manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, maintain ongoing customer relationships, and coordinate with internal and partner teams to ensure timely delivery and quality service. The role also involves attending industry events and technical support to customers, and contributing to sales forecasts and business development strategies.
This is a remote position. We are seeking Technical Sales Reps in the Southeast, South and West coast regions currently. The ideal person will have an established network that can quickly be leveraged to sell established manufacturer capabilities to. This is a Commission only position currently, with potential for retainer as client base grows.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills, with experience selling manufacturing or engineered products, target at least 5 years.
- Customer Service and Communication abilities to build relationships and manage customer expectations.
- Strong customer network.
- Training and presentation skills to explain technical concepts and support customer onboarding.
- Knowledge of automotive, EV, manufacturing, or related industrial markets is highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and RFQs to efficiently communicate between multiple parties.
- Proven track record in business development, lead generation, and sales pipeline management.
- Self-directed work style with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (ideally Hubspot) and basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
