Business Development Manager

Position Overview The Business Development Manager position is responsible for prospecting, developing new relationships, maintaining and expanding existing client relationships, and assisting with sourcing, networking, and engaging Henry Elliott resources. This individual will play a key role in driving revenue growth by building strong relationships with Healthcare IT clients/prospects and potential consultants within our specialized market. Extensive training and support are provided within our team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and expand relationships with existing clients and partners, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities Research and conduct outreach to prospective clients via phone, email, and social media to generate and qualify leads, building a strong sales pipeline Partner with clients to understand technology resource needs Research industry trends to identify new opportunities Assist with RFP responses, marketing efforts, and industry outreach initiatives. Collaborate closely with team members to support engagements and ensure client satisfaction and success Accurately maintain and update client and consultant data within internal systems Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment Represent the company at industry conferences and events, including coordinating meetings with prospects and clients Travel out of state is required twice per year May assist our recruiters and relationship managers to gain knowledge of our technical team by sourcing, networking, and evaluating, for consulting roles using our internal database, LinkedIn, and other platforms Build long-term relationships with candidates/consultants and clients to support ongoing engagement opportunities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree highly preferred 3–5+ years of business development or inside sales Strong phone presence and comfort with high-volume outreach Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills Self-motivated, self-starting, proactive, and goal-oriented with a strong sense of curiosity and persistence Strong interest in learning and working in the Healthcare IT industry Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Strong organizational and computer skills Key Attributes for Success Energetic, persuasive, confident, high-energy communicator with a consultative approach Highly relationship-focused with the ability to quickly build trust with a wide range of personality types Resilient and persistent, with a long-term approach to business development in an industry with longer sales cycles Resourceful problem-solver who takes initiative and follows through Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Primarily in-office role (4-5 days per week) in Wellesley, MA Collaborative, team-oriented, verbal culture Opportunity to attend industry conferences and expand professional network Clear career path with strong earning potential through salary, commission and bonus Why Join Henry Elliott & Company?
