About this position The physical therapist evaluates, establishes treatment programs and provides individualized care to customers. The goal of care is to prevent, correct, or alleviate disability, as well as to educate the customer/family about their role in the care plan. Functions as a part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, and collaborates with other caregivers with the goal of providing high quality customer care. Participates in department decision-making, improvement activities, and projects designed to improve customer care standards in the department. Requirements Education Baccalaureate, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from an APTA Accredited School of Physical Therapy. Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy required for all candidates hired after June 1, 2014. Experience Previous work experience in acute care Physical Therapy preferred. Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Computer proficiency (e.g. keyboarding, Microsoft Office) required.
