A Brief Overview

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

\n
\nWhat You Will Do
\n - Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. \n
- Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. \n
- Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. \n
- Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. \n
- \n
Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.

\nAdditional Responsibilities
\n - Performs other duties as assigned. \n
- Complies with all policies and standards. \n
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. \n
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. \n

- Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays. \n
- \n
Valid ODL.
\n \n - 100% travel to the patients home for care. \n
- The territory for this position the Ashland and Samaritan areas in the West Market. \n
\n
Home Care Services is participating in University Hospital’s loan repayment program. New grad RNs who accept a fulltime position with Home Care Services will be eligible to receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus at 90 days of employment and up to $15,000 paid directly to educational loans in exchange for a 24 month work commitment. - Other Accredited Program: Diploma in Nursing or \n
- (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required) \n
- (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred) \n
- (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Preferred) \n
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
\n
- \n
- Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency) \n
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency) \n
Licenses and Certifications

- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and \n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire) \n
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on clinical area standards. \n
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on clinical area standards. \n
