Our client is one of the premier aftermarket turbomachinery service firms in North America, a 750-person organization built on engineering depth, technical craftsmanship, and a relentless commitment to responsiveness across the rotating equipment industry. They are opening a flagship facility on Bay Area Boulevard in Pasadena, TX, consolidating mechanic and engineered orders work from two existing Houston shops into a single, purpose-built operation. They are searching for a General Manager to own this site from day one. This is a build role. The right leader will establish the culture, build the team, and set the operational standard for their most significant Houston investment. The Opportunity Full site ownership across safety, quality, delivery, and cost in a low-volume, high-variability shop environment where every job is one-of-one Lead daily operations spanning machining, assembly, balance, and inspection across centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, axial and screw compressors, and hot gas expanders Recruit and develop a high-performing team of craft labor and functional leads from the ground up Drive KPI visibility, cycle time reduction, and continuous improvement as the facility scales Serve as the operational face of the organization to a sophisticated Gulf Coast refining and petrochemical customer base Ideal Background 10+ years of operations leadership with full accountability for a standalone manufacturing or repair facility Deep familiarity with low-volume, project-oriented shop environments, not production line manufacturing Technical fluency in rotating equipment repair sufficient to command credibility with API-standard customers Proven culture builder: direct, accountable, collaborative, and capable of seeing around corners Heavy industrial or rotating equipment background is a meaningful differentiator Lean, 5S, or process improvement experience is strongly preferred Engineering degree (mechanical or industrial) preferred; real-world results matter more #J-18808-Ljbffr The Mullings Group
