Position Summary

The Leasing Agent is responsible for assisting prospective residents throughout the leasing process, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the apartment community.

The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, organized, and comfortable interacting with prospective and current residents. Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and professionally assist prospective and current residents.
• Respond to leasing inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
• Conduct property tours and showcase available apartment homes and community amenities.
• Explain apartment features, pricing, availability, and community policies.
• Process rental applications and assist with the leasing process.
• Follow up with prospective residents and maintain strong lead-to-lease activity.
• Prepare and complete lease agreements and related documentation.
• Assist with move-in and move-out processes.
• Maintain accurate resident and leasing records.
• Respond to resident questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Support resident retention and maintain positive resident relationships.
• Assist with marketing and maintaining the presentation of the community.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming leasing office and tour areas.
• Work closely with the property management and maintenance teams to ensure excellent resident service.

QualificationsRequired

• Previous leasing, property management, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn property management software.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

• Previous multifamily or apartment leasing experience.
• Experience with property management software.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing guidelines and leasing practices.
• Sales or customer service experience in a residential or property management setting.

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based within a multifamily apartment community.
• Frequent interaction with prospective and current residents, vendors, and team members.
• May include walking throughout the community and showing apartment homes.
• Fast-paced environment requiring strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Weekend availability may be required based on the community's leasing schedule.
