Meridian MedLegal Management is a medical legal management company that provides administrative services to medical experts who offer their expert opinion on cases involved in litigation. We are looking for a Billing Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, administrative and clerical tasks.
This fast pace and rewarding role is perfect for a self-starter who is looking to gain experience by working closely with the accounting/finance department.
Preferred: Associates Degree in accounting with a minimum 1 years of accounting experience or a Bachelor or science in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Skills
· Ability to manage company confidential information
· 1 years minimum experience in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
· Knowledge of accounting principles and practices is essential
· Must have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
· Proficient in MS Office with advance Excel modeling skills.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize
· Demonstrate supreme organizational skills
· Strong attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
· Must be able to adapt to changing priorities as they arise
· Knowledge of accounting systems
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Rolls and Responsibilities
· Assists in the preparation of invoices
· Follow up on outstanding/past due accounts in a professional and consistent manner
· Assists in general accounting maintenance
· Answering billing related inquires
· Aid in the preparation of bi-monthly billing and accounts receivable
· Alerts appropriate management team members regarding billing seriously overdue
· Back up the billing department as needed
· Performs other specific projects relating to billing, data entry, and computer operations
