Job Overview:

As our Accounts Payable Specialist , you’ll be responsible for:

• Managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice review, verification, data entry, and weekly check runs
• Administering company credit cards (issuing, tracking, compliance, and reconciliation)
• Year end 1099 processing
• Recording and monitoring ACH payments and cash account activity
• Performing monthly reconciliations, including postage, donations, and assigned general ledger accounts
• Managing petty cash and serving as backup support for cash receipts processing
• Assisting with annual audit preparation and document retrieval
• Collaborating across departments to maintain strong internal and external relationships
• Supporting additional accounting tasks as needed to keep the team running smoothly

Qualifications:

· Associate’s degree in accounting, bookkeeping, business administration, or equivalent

· 1+ years’ experience processing accounts payable in a similar environment

· Prior experience with Sage 100 software

· Strong Excel skills – pivot tables, x-lookup, conditional formatting

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills

· Attention to detail with the ability to meet recurring deadlines

· A positive, professional approach to teamwork and customer service

· Continuous improvement mindset

· Ability to work in office in Roseville, CA daily

Compensation Estimate:

$25 - $30/hour, depending on experience. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

This is a 100% in-office role at our Roseville, California office.

BACKGROUND
The California Waterfowl Association is an award-winning 501(C)(3) conservation organization with a mission to conserve the state’s waterfowl, wetlands, and hunting heritage. We have over 18,500 members and 1,000 dedicated volunteers. Our accomplishments over the past couple decades include:
•\tCompleting nearly 1,400 projects to protect, restore, and enhance almost 490,000 acres, providing habitat for millions of wetland birds and other animals.
•\tHatching more than 1,000,000 ducklings through our volunteer-driven California Wood Duck Program.
•\tBanding over 300,000 waterfowl for research that helps ensure sound management of waterfowl resources.
•\tTeaching almost 350,000 children, young adults, and families about waterfowl biology, wetlands ecology, and the role hunting plays in conservation.
