Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU Neuro

Location

Madison, WI

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts | 19:00–07:30 | Every other weekend required | Some holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within an ICU and Intermediate Care (IMC) patient population
• Monitor and assess neurological and post-neurosurgical patients in a high-acuity inpatient setting
• Interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient census
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the applicable specialty
• ICU experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must pass a telemetry examination prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neurosurgery experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU or high-acuity setting
