Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and confirm patient identity prior to scanning, upholding department safety protocols.
• Coordinate with physicians to deliver precise diagnostic imaging services.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining each step for their comfort and understanding.
• Insert IVs as required, demonstrating proficiency and care.
• Safely position patients, including those with mobility limitations, using proper handling techniques.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate electronic patient records using the EPIC system.
• Ensure images are accurately identified and transmitted to the PACS system.
• Keep the scanning facility organized, clean, and safe.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology; current ARRT certification.
• NY State licensure secured prior to start; includes injection therapy certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
• At least two years of prior CT technology experience.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association; Telemetry requirement.
• Injection certification preferred (can be completed during orientation).
• Familiarity with Philips and Siemens equipment is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, compassionate patient care, and collaborative team mindset.
