Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Metrapolis Behavioral Center, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the client's mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Facilitate therapeutic interventions using Evidence-Based Practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

• Provide bilingual psychotherapy services in both English and Spanish, ensuring that the therapy experience is accessible and relevant.

• Engage in family therapy sessions that enhance communication and healing within family units.
\n
• Regularly collaborate with colleagues to review and coordinate client care, attending team meetings to discuss treatment strategies.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and manage client caseload using electronic health record (EHR) software, ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements.

• Offer telehealth services in a HIPAA-compliant manner while also providing in-person sessions from our Portland office when necessary.

• Actively participate in ongoing professional development activities and training to refine and expand your therapeutic skills.

Your primary focus will be on supporting a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing a wide range of mental health issues. Your experience in a behavioral health setting will be invaluable as you work with individuals facing trauma, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ concerns, and more. You will also respect and adapt to the cultural and individual needs of each client, fostering a therapeutic environment that builds trust and encourages openness.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A Master's Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Studies, or an equivalent field from an accredited program.

• An active, unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, essential for delivering nuanced bilingual services.
\n
• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting, with proven success in providing services to a varied demographic.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity toward cultural differences, enabling you to relate effectively to clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Experience with CBT, TF-CBT, or EMDR methodologies.
\n
• Commitment to upholding HIPAA regulations and maintaining client confidentiality.

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to provide services as an in-network provider for at least one insurance panel.

• A strong motivation to engage in continuous learning and skill enhancement.

Preferred Experience\n

We'd love to see candidates who have developed a specialization in areas such as trauma, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ issues, or perinatal mental health.
