Mid Software Developer - Security Clearance

Salary: $111,000 - 114,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a Bachelors degree plus at least 5 years of work experience, or an Associates degree plus at least 7 years of experience.
• We require an active Tier 3 Secret clearance or higher.
• We require strong proficiency in object-oriented programming, Java, and Spring Boot.
• We require experience building microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native applications.
• We require hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts, and container orchestration in OpenShift or comparable platforms.
• We require experience designing, developing, and operating solutions in AWS or other cloud environments.
• We require hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and enterprise messaging systems such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
• We require experience with observability tools, including distributed tracing, structured logging, and metrics collection such as OpenTelemetry, Kibana, or the ELK stack.
• We require experience working with GitOps practices such as GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, or ArgoCD.
• We require experience operating in Agile environments, including Scrum or SAFe ceremonies.
• We require familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• We require the ability to produce clear technical documentation, including API documentation, architecture decisions, and implementation notes.

• We develop, create, and modify general application software and specialized utility programs.
• We design, build, and maintain microservices in a cloud-native architecture.
• We operate and support an enterprise-scale production system, including identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues.
• We analyze user needs to build software solutions aligned with business and mission objectives.
• We analyze, design, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases within application ecosystems.
• We participate in code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring junior developers to strengthen engineering quality.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, Security, Product, and Architecture.
• We support migration of current-system functionality from mainframes into a cloud-based environment on AWS GovCloud.
• We help transition investigative search capabilities to Elasticsearch or similar technologies.
• We build new microservices on OpenShift-based container platforms using scalable cloud-native patterns.
• We implement full-stack components where needed, including UI integration layers with modern JavaScript frameworks.
• We support event-driven architectures and high-throughput data processing systems.
• We acknowledge on-call contacts within 15 minutes, remain reasonably accessible to our secure work laptop, and begin assessing or troubleshooting within 60 minutes during on-call periods.
