About the Position

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCRN preferred Must-Have: Cardiovascular ICU experience Description: The position involves floating between units as required. Weekends are required, specifically every other weekend. Block scheduling is required. Expected patient ratios are 1:1 and 1:2. Previous charge experience is preferred. Charting will be done using the Epic system. Patients will include those recovering from open heart surgeries, vascular surgeries, and patients requiring advanced cardiac support. Candidates should have experience managing ventilated patients and interpreting dysrhythmias. Additional responsibilities may include the management of pulmonary artery lines and ventilator management. This role requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Flexibility in scheduling and a willingness to float to nearby facilities are necessary. References are required to cover the last year of experience. Candidates should have a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
