Capital Markets Attorney

JW Michaels is partnering with our client , a leading multi-manager hedge fund, on an exciting opportunity to join its Legal team supporting the Capital Markets platform. This role sits directly on the Capital Markets desk and offers significant exposure to portfolio managers, investment professionals, and senior business leaders. The position is highly commercial in nature and ideal for an attorney who enjoys working at the intersection of law, finance, and investing. The firm maintains a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is seeking someone who is intellectually curious, engaged, and eager to develop a deeper understanding of the markets. Job Responsibilities Advise on a broad range of capital markets transactions, with a particular focus on PIPEs (Private Investments in Public Equity), equity offerings, and equity derivatives Partner closely with portfolio managers and investment professionals to evaluate and execute investment opportunities Provide legal and strategic guidance on complex financing and capital markets matters Analyze transaction structures and identify legal, regulatory, and commercial considerations Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support investment activity and business objectives Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics, trading strategies, and investment processes to serve as a trusted business partner Job Requirements J.D. and approximately 4–7 years of relevant experience Experience advising on capital markets transactions , including PIPEs, equity offerings, equity-linked products, or related financing transactions Background from a leading law firm strongly preferred, though relevant in-house experience will also be considered Experience in capital markets, finance, private credit, tax, transactional, or related practice areas may be relevant Strong commercial judgment and the ability to think beyond purely legal considerations Demonstrated interest in financial markets, investing, and the hedge fund industry Exceptional analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills Motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to work closely with investment professionals in a highly collaborative environment This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to transition into a business-facing role where legal expertise and commercial thinking are equally valued. #J-18808-Ljbffr
