Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Florham Park, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Employment Type: Temporary Assignment with Potential for Permanent Hire Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist to join our team in a hybrid capacity. This role is primarily focused on recruiting top talent while also supporting key Human Resources initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle recruitment, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to contribute across multiple HR functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make an immediate impact within a growing organization. While initially structured as a temporary assignment, there is potential for the role to transition into a permanent position based on business needs and performance. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding coordination. Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates through job boards, professional networks, social media platforms, referrals, and other recruiting channels. Partner closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and create effective recruitment plans. Provide guidance on job descriptions, interview processes, candidate assessments, and hiring best practices. Build and maintain strong relationships with external recruiting partners, staffing agencies, and recruitment vendors. Evaluate vendor performance and recruitment effectiveness to ensure alignment with hiring objectives and budget expectations. Manage and optimize applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting technologies, and sourcing tools to improve hiring outcomes. Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience through consistent communication and timely follow-up. Monitor labor market trends, compensation benchmarks, and industry developments to support strategic hiring decisions. Collaborate with compensation and HR teams to ensure competitive and equitable salary recommendations. Support workforce planning initiatives and future talent acquisition strategies. Maintain accurate recruitment records and candidate data while ensuring compliance with applicable privacy regulations and employment laws. Educate and coach hiring managers on recruitment policies, interviewing techniques, and hiring compliance requirements. Handle confidential recruiting matters with discretion and professionalism. Human Resources Support Assist with onboarding activities and new hire orientation programs to ensure a successful employee experience. Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace practices. Support various HR initiatives, including employee engagement, performance management, policy administration, and diversity and inclusion efforts. Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Maintain accurate HR records and documentation. Participate in additional HR projects and administrative responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a corporate, agency, or blended environment. Experience supporting HR functions such as employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and policy implementation preferred. Strong understanding of employment laws, recruiting compliance, and HR best practices. Proven ability to recruit for a wide range of positions, including technical, professional, leadership, and specialized roles. Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting technologies, and sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter. Knowledge of pay transparency regulations and other applicable hiring requirements. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills. Familiarity with employer branding initiatives and talent attraction strategies. Ability to manage confidential information with a high degree of professionalism. Self-starter with a proactive, results-oriented approach. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
