Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care primarily on the Respiratory unit, which includes care for COVID patients, with occasional floating to various Med-Surg units such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders. The role requires strong clinical skills in telemetry and stepdown patient care, proficiency in Epic EMR, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The position is night shift with a commitment to every other weekend and focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years recent/current experience in telemetry and/or stepdown nursing.
- Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret telemetry data; competency testing required on day one.
- Experience working in respiratory care or with COVID-19 patients.
- Experience in multiple Med-Surg specialty areas such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation units.
- Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
- Every other weekend work is required.
- No on-call requirement.
- Strict Epic EMR proficiency mandatory; no refresher training provided.
- Failure to pass telemetry competency or Epic proficiency will result in termination.
- Start date limited to September 21st or October 19th unless a returning traveler within 9 months.
- 36 hours per week on night shift (7:00 PM 7:30 AM).
- Schedule includes every other weekend coverage.
