About our property The Marriott Phoenix Chandler, located in Chandler, a Southeast suburb of Phoenix, is the newest Full Service Marriott in Arizona. Featuring 264 guest rooms and over 21,000 sq ft of event space, the hotel has the largest Ballroom in Chandler, AZ. Within the hotel, Proof ’19 features handcrafted cocktails, local beers, and Southwest cuisine. We Proudly Brew Starbucks Café serves a morning pick-me-up and a variety of breakfast options. The hotel is located in the Price Road Corridor, near major employers. What you will have an opportunity to do We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Front Desk team as Front Desk Supervisor. The successful candidate has a proven record of being a team player, is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, and supports the team both personally and professionally. Your Role Help guests discover their “Wanderlust” experience and provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and showing sincere interest Check guests in, ensure proper credit is received, note and fulfill special requests, and establish accurate information Help resolve problems and “WOW” guests through recovery when things aren’t quite right Supervise daily shift process and ensure all team members adhere to standard operating procedures Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests Work with Maintenance and Housekeeping to communicate and coordinate the day Train, direct, resolve issues, and coach front desk team members to ensure a quality operation Maintain the Sundries shop, manage inventory, and place orders as necessary Train all new Front Desk Agents to provide exceptional customer service Promote and sell special hotel programs Interact with hotel/resort staff professionally and assist other departments with necessary information Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies Maintain house bank and communicate pertinent information to the manager on duty Follow procedures for posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds Assist other departments as needed Qualifications Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays High school diploma or equivalent Previous hotel or resort experience preferred A strong desire to make an impact on others An outgoing and engaging personality Computer skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced setting Ability to stand for the duration of the shift Compensation and Equal Opportunity Compensation: $ - $ Pyramid Global Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer.
