Registered Nurse Psychiatric

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with a specialty in psychiatric care to provide skilled nursing services for adult psychiatric patients. The Registered Nurse will perform patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, adherence to facility policies including DHS fingerprinting, and compliance with age and disciplinary standards. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor psychiatric patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
• Adhere to facility policies and regulatory requirements including DHS fingerprinting.
• Ensure patient safety and provide supportive care in an adult psychiatric setting.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric or adult mental health care.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced psychiatric care environment.
• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Successful completion of DHS fingerprinting and no previous disciplinary actions.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

• Experience in adult psychiatric nursing or related specialty areas.
• Additional certifications in psychiatric nursing or mental health care.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation for potential field work.

• Must comply with DHS fingerprinting requirements.
• Strict adherence to facility policies and procedures.
• Must be over the age of 21.
• Work environment involves adult psychiatric care requiring sensitivity and safety awareness.

• Day shift position from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Shift assignments are fixed for the adult psychiatric unit.
