RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 3+ years of operating room experience required
• Travel nursing experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• Block scheduling available but not guaranteed
• Call shifts required
• Patient ratio of 1:1 during days and nights
• 14 beds in operating room unit
• Must wear teal scrubs
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted
• Floating required between units
• Must have mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement
• Experience required in diverse surgical specialties including orthopedic total joint and trauma, neurosurgery, GYN/Urology, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Required certifications: BLS, CNOR
• EPIC charting system experience required
• NY license must be in hand to submit
• Pre-start modules required (billable up to 5 hours)
• Experience with extensive surgical procedures including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, bariatric surgeries, cardiac procedures, thoracic surgeries, ENT procedures, general surgeries, gynecological procedures, neurosurgeries, orthopedic/spine surgeries, plastic surgeries, podiatric surgeries, and urological procedures

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 14-bed operating room department with diverse surgical specialties and advanced technology including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System. The facility provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for surgical care and requires extensive competency requirements for all nursing staff.
