Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Adult Care Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 5x7.5 Hours per Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum two years of acute care experience in Med/Surg License: Client RN License with Primary Source Verification Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS (for Queens only) Must-Have: Certified Home Health experience Description: This role involves providing care in patients' homes. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Evaluate medical information and provide direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications. Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed. Adjust specialized medical equipment and interpret and record measurements. Monitor patients' vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team. Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records. Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols. Required skills include physical assessment, medication administration, wound care, infection control, IV therapy, post-operative care, patient education, and telemetry monitoring. Preferred skills include EPIC EMR experience. Two years of previous acute care experience in Med/Surg or related fields is required. Current adult care home health experience is also necessary.
