Job Title: Accountant


Location (City, State): Charlotte, NC (Fully Onsite)


Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 annually

Job Description:


Our client is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support day-to-day financial operations across multiple accounting functions. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end processes, supporting reporting activities, and serving as a key point of contact for internal departments, customers, and vendors. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and eager to grow into increased responsibilities as the business continues to expand.


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment application.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer account questions.
• Follow up on outstanding customer balances and assist with collection activities.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Process employee expense reimbursements and maintain organized financial documentation.
• Assist with payroll-related accounting tasks as needed.
• Generate recurring financial, operational, and sales reports.
• Support fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, budgeting, and forecasting efforts.
• Participate in monthly and year-end close activities, including financial statement preparation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide requested documentation during audit processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide cross-functional support and assist with additional accounting or administrative projects as business needs evolve.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions.
• Experience working within an ERP system; SAP experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
