We're partnering with a well-established steel industry leader that is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team in Cleveland, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a structured work environment, values teamwork, and wants to be part of a company that's continuously improving its processes.
What You'll Be Doing
No two weeks are exactly alike, but here's a snapshot of what you'll tackle:
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Manage accounts payable and keep vendor payments running smoothly
- Perform job costing and support daily accounting activities
- Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Maintain organized financial records and banking documentation
- Support accounting for multiple business entities
- Assist with financial reviews and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting
- Help identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
- Learn and use Foundation Software (training provided!)
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working independently while being part of a collaborative team
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Foundation Software experience is a plusbut we'll train the right person!
- Ability to successfully complete a background check
