Corporate Controller

Controller Position Due to substantial growth, we are seeking a hands-on Controller to assist with the direction, management, supervision, and coordination of the activities and the operations of all phases of the finance and cost accounting functions. Must have a good understanding of business process management and business requirements; prepare monthly financial statements accompanied with analysis to budget, prior years and forecasts; and perform related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have the drive to grow into increasing levels of responsibility and be considered a strong successor candidate for the organization. The position is located in Greater Cleveland, OH. Essential Accountabilities: Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting package that includes analysis of financial and statistical results comparing to budget, prior years, and forecasts. Provides detail analysis as to such fluctuations. Oversight of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit, Collections, and Treasury. Provide hands-on guidance, direction and support for these areas. Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting requirements and recommends appropriate improvements to the overall system and operation as needed. Review and design of accounting internal controls. Facilitates the development of the site's annual budget; monitors and develops cash forecast of funds, schedules payments, and monitors borrowings needed to meet working capital requirements; monitors and approves certain corporate expenditures. Preparation of special reports; assists other Teams by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues. Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of accounting. Lead inventory cycle count reconciliations and physical inventories. Education, Experience & Qualifications: BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related. CPA or related experience including early career audit experience a plus! At least 10+ years of relevant experience with a cost accounting background. Manufacturing industry experience required. Accounting/GAAP knowledge required as it applies to privately held companies. ERP, data mining, and strong/advanced Excel skills. Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Equal Opportunity Employer.
