Dispatch Coordinator

The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing dispatch schedules, tracking orders, and serving as the primary point of contact for customers regarding deliveries. This role supports logistics operations by ensuring timely, efficient, and safe transportation of bulk cement, aggregate, and fly ash products.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor deliveries in alignment with customer orders and plant capacity.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records.
• Collaborate closely with carriers, internal teams, and customers.
• Support inventory tracking and reporting needs.
• Play a critical role in customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and safety compliance.

Essential Skills

• Data entry
• Customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook
• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens
• Comfortable taking high volume phone calls
• Fluent in both English and Spanish

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent dispatch experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 13 years of dispatch, logistics, or transportation coordination experience preferred.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Bilingual (Spanish) capabilities are a plus.

Work Environment

This role requires on-site work from Monday to Friday, with operational hours from 6am to 5:30pm. During the training period, employees will work from 8am to 5pm. The team values a safety-first approach and offers a performance-driven environment, providing stability and growth opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
