Maintenance Worker

Job TitlePerforms intermediate semiskilled work maintaining golf course and club house, and related work as apparent or assigned.Examples of DutiesMaintains rough, greens, and fairways on golf course; mows course; removes debris from course and cart paths.Changes pin placement holes on greens.Rakes sand traps using motorized equipment.Maintains interior of club house during cold weather; lays out protective tarps over greens to prevent cold weather damage; removes trees and stumps when course is empty due to weather.Typical QualificationsEducation and Experience: High school diploma or GED and moderate experience in general landscaping work, golf course maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of related industry, organization, and department policies, practices, and procedures; comprehensive knowledge of the methods, tools and equipment required to maintain golf course greens, fairways, roughs, and cart paths; general knowledge of and skill in the proper methods of planting, cultivating, watering and trimming greens, tees and fairways; ability to work outdoors in year-round; ability to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with associates, supervisors, and the general public.
