Bookkeeper

Nicolet Law is seeking a full-time internal Bookkeeper to work out of our Hudson, WI office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential for the financial health of our organization and requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices. Responsibilities: Manage, organize, and audit financial accounts including employee credit cards and QuickBooks. Process accounts payable and receivable. Pay monthly rent/CAM for all offices. Prepare documents for lenders/banks as requested. Check daily mail and distribute. Research and implement financial processes to help streamline firm operations. Organize and manage digital invoice storage. Audit client matters including client trusts and expenses. Audit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports before sharing with stakeholders. Assist with miscellaneous office tasks (cleaning, organizing, greeting guests). Act as backup for Administrative Assistant and Business Director. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree, or comparable experience in accounting, mathematics, or finance. QuickBooks experience strongly preferred. At least 3 years managing office accounts, finances, and audits. Detail-oriented, responsible, with excellent time management and organizational skills. Self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential matters. Strong leadership skills.
