Why you will enjoy being part of our team: Competitive Salaries and Benefits Professional Development High Quality Supervision Opportunities for Advancement STATEMENT OF THE JOB The Director of Data and Quality Metrics leads enterprise data strategy, data governance, and performance measurement to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The Director of Data and Quality Metrics assists with the implementation of new projects and the evaluation of the success of existing and new programs. This position works alongside management team to support the development of long-term growth plans, identification and measurement of key performance indicators, and funding source goals. The Director of Data and Quality Metrics will be responsible for guiding and promoting the Agency mission to address needs within the community that arise from behavioral health and substance use disorders. Works collaboratively to develop and employ a department-wide strategic plan that exemplifies a commitment to service excellence, staff development, community support and continuous quality improvement. Provides effective communication focused on creating a culture in which multidisciplinary teams can work together to pursue effective outcomes that are both client centered and data driven. The position requires broad skills, the ability to lead the development of program evaluation plans, analyze and evaluate data, and communicate the results of the analyses in a way that supports the team to improve program quality, business acumen, financial expertise, and significant leadership ability. Develops data quality frameworks, policies, and standards for collection, integration, and usage. Drives root cause analysis for data incidents and lead continuous improvement methodologies. Manages, mentors, and scales data operations or analytics teams, fostering a data-driven culture. Oversees initiatives, establishes department priorities, goals, key performance indicators, and policies. Supports culturally responsive programs to support the needs of the diverse clientele, including assessing barriers to access. Selects, trains, directs, and evaluates supervisors and managers and their performance in meeting program and individual goals and objectives. Directs quality assurance and performance/process improvement efforts and assures compliance to federal, state, local regulations, including standards set by SAMHSA, CARF, OMH and OASAS, along with foundation deliverables and benchmarks. Consults, collaborates and works cooperatively with advisory boards, foundations, as well as local, state, and federal government agencies and departments, developing linkages to community resources. Leadership and Staff Management Defines roles for teams and team leads, ensures roles are clearly communicated and fosters teams to coordinate with each other. Implementation of staff development opportunities ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Maintains effective systems for regular constructive feedback to support individual professional growth of team members. Data/Evaluation Ensures the data team has a strong infrastructure and adequate staffing to meet the needs of the programs and accomplish goals of the team. Oversees the identification and development of Key Performance Indicators annually. Takes the lead and stay informed regarding all CCBHCs research activities with hospitals, CBOs, CBC, and all other entities and funding sources. Supports program adherence to funder/licensing entity evaluation and continuous quality improvement requirements. Operations Oversees performance on all awards and approve reports. Assesses and manages risks and issues. Ensure all risks/issues are brought to resolution in a timely and mutually agreeable manner. Works with the operations team to ensure key projects are resourced and run successfully. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in hospital, public health or public administration is preferred or Bachelor’s Degree in hospital, public health or public administration with an additional two (2) years of relevant experience. Three (3) years of hospital or health care administrative experience which includes two (2) years in behavioral health services. Comprehensive knowledge of mental health and substance use program planning and administration; the interrelationships of services provided by local public and private agencies and organizations; and the principles of the various professional and clinical disciplines. Prior experience supervising staff and/or program management. Prior experience in logic model development, trend analysis, data analysis, and or performance metrics preferred. Excellent statistics skills and working knowledge of statistics software. Must possess skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel. Must be able to summarize complex data efficiently and effectively. Must have strong organizational skills, analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Must be able to use an electronic health record and provide data and outcomes through electronic formats and databases. Able to work flexible hours and days - including weekends/evenings/holidays according to programs/agency needs. Regularly required to talk, hear, walk, stand, and sit. Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds. Should be able to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, & office equipment. Ability to read printed materials and computer screens. Ability to travel throughout the five boroughs from site to site at various times of day/night.
