Location Charlottesville, VA Open Date Jan 21, 2026 Responsibilities The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia seeks a tenure‑ineligible clinical faculty member in the Division of Academic Specialists. The candidate will provide a full spectrum of general obstetric and gynecologic practice, including office‑based care, gynecologic surgery and staffing of Labor and Delivery. Duties also include in‑hospital Labor and Delivery call, benign gynecology call coverage, and rotating outreach clinics within 30 miles of the campus. The faculty member will be involved in undergraduate and graduate medical education and will serve a diverse patient population in a quaternary care setting. Office‑based obstetrics and gynecology practice Gynecologic surgery Labor and Delivery staffing, including in‑hospital call and benign gynecology coverage Rotating outreach clinic service within 30 miles of Charlottesville Participation in undergraduate and graduate medical education The Division collaborates with subspecialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, and Menopause, as well as Family Planning specialists embedded within the Division. Qualifications Qualified candidates must hold an MD or DO and be board‑certified or board‑eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
