Sr. Oracle Database Administrator - Day Shift

This role is in support of a high viability mission environment. Responsibilities Administer and support Oracle 19c databases in aData Guard configuration (1 primary, 2 standbys) Manage and maintainOracle Data GuardusingData Guard Broker Configure, monitor, and troubleshootFast-Start Failover (FSFO)including multiple observers across distributed environments Performroutine and emergency patching(RU/CPU), including planning, testing, and post-patch validation Monitor database health, performance, and availability usingOracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Execute and validateswitchover and failover operations, including reinstatement of the primary database Troubleshoot Data Guard issues such as transport/apply lag, archive gaps, and broker-related errors Maintain backup and recovery processes using RMAN, including support for FRA and flashback features Requirements TS/SCI FSP Clearance Security + CE required BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent years' experience Currently holding or recently held SYS3 PRIVAC level desired 10 + years’ experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Oracle’s database. Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation ofcustomer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning. Significantexperience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery Experience with DB security, Data Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle 19c on Linux (non‑RAC) Proven expertise with Data Guard Broker andFSFO in multi-standby environments Solid experience withOracle patching and lifecycle management Working knowledge of OEM for monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis Experience with RMAN backup/recovery and Flashback Database Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting Experience supportingmulti-site observer configurations Familiarity with performance tuning (AWR/ASH) Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills #J-18808-Ljbffr NewGen Technologies (Maryland)
