They str for uninterrupted production schedules, while strongly adhering to company maintenance standards. This position works closely with plant leaders, and requires demonstration and competency of plant safety, legal/labor compliance and/or food quality standards. The Engineering Manager leverages company and external resources to provide insightful and innovative solutions to all items that impede plant efficiency, production and/or departmental morale. This role is also responsible for contributing to and fostering the professional development, aptitude and technical expertise/performance of all members of the industrial maintenance department.Rising to the Challenge: Position ResponsibilitiesManage superintendents and projects: small scale maintenance project planning and down day planning with superintendentsManage Capital expenditure (CapEx) program and Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) annual planning and forecasting, while teaching superintendentManage employee development and succession planningUtilize SAP to review and approve: breakdown report, overtime report, and purchase orders. Must conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of inventory variancesReview spare parts stock levelAttend plant operation meetingsAttend vendor meetings and coordinate planningOversee financial review and reporting, monitoring and reporting on Profit & Loss (P&L) reports for maintenance spendConduct floor walks with superintendent for department-work verificationManage equipment trends: parts usage, breakdown frequencies, and top cost contributorsConduct critical equipment inspection work verificationConduct preventive maintenance (PM) program assessments and modify based on trending, plant needs, and/or changesDemonstrate innovative, critical, and strategic thinkingPractice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and proceduresPossess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipmentKnead to Know: Preferred Qualifications5+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in industrial operations or related field. Strong knowledge of project management, quality assurance, and employee development.
