Collect, assess, and document relevant patient data; identify care needs and priorities. Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team. Administer medications and treatments, monitor responses, and adjust care as needed. Ensure patient safety and comfort; participate in discharge planning and continuity of care. Educate patients and families; supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff; maintain accurate charting in the patient record. Requirements Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California required). Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor (per policy) is required; facility policy requires BLS. Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; acute care/Med Surg experience preferred. Education: BSN preferred. Systems: Proficiency with electronic health records; for backfill duties, experience with EPIC and Cerner is required. Additional: Ability to work in a fast-paced Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting and participate in daily patient care activities in Med Surg.
