IT Asset Management SpecialistThe IT Asset Management Specialist manages the lifecycle of the County's hardware and software assets. Key responsibilities include tracking inventory, ensuring software license compliance, and managing the IT billing application to charge departments for their assigned assets. This role also oversees external programs for recycling or selling decommissioned equipment. To be considered for this position, you must upload a cover letter and a resume.ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:Establishing, implementing, and communicating policies for purchasing, tracking, and managing IT assets—from acquisition to retirement.Entering asset details (serial numbers, tags) into the inventory system and keeping data accurate, up to date, and auditable.Auditing software licenses, warranties, and maintenance agreements against usage to ensure legal compliance and timely upgrades.Processing chargebacks to County departments using the IT Billing system and helping departmental leads with questions about their costs.Building vendor relationships to manage the auction, sale, or recycling of decommissioned equipment.Serving as a backup for the County operator line and IT Department front desk as needed.Demonstrating commitment to being respectful and valuing differences among individuals.QualificationsAll candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications.
