Senior Safety and Occupational Health Analyst

Position Description Summary APT Research is hiring a Safety and Occupational Health Analyst in Colorado Springs to support MDA on our MAPSS Safety contract. APT is an employee‑owned engineering services company specializing in conducting safety and quality analyses for the U.S. Government. Requirements Advanced experience in job hazard, risk assessment, and other analytical techniques sufficient to identify and evaluate program areas involving high risk, new or revised operations, hazardous materials, and other adverse conditions. Experience in accident and mishap investigation and reporting requirements and techniques. Experience in construction standards, practices, techniques, materials, equipment, and utility systems sufficient to determine compliance with building safety standards, and ability to develop effective controls of work and equipment hazards resulting from new construction or modification of current facilities. Experience in the basic concepts, methods, and techniques used by environmentalists, industrial hygienists, safety engineers, fire prevention specialists, and personnel in other safety and occupational health specialty areas. Experience in the standards, methods, practices, and techniques applicable to industrial processes and operations. Experience applying environmental principles, practices, procedures, and laws pertinent to hazardous chemicals and toxic waste. Advanced skill in oral and written communications to prepare reports and briefings. Required Education/Experience Minimum 4 years of experience. Security Clearance Requirement Must have a SECRET level clearance or higher. Essential Job Functions Work Environment Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication, both verbally and written. Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management, and customers. Travel Requirements Requires ability to travel domestically (within the U.S.) Physical Requirements Requires sitting for extended periods at a workstation or desk. Other Essential Functions Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and exercise good judgement.
