POSITION DESCRIPTION

Our organization is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position within the Department of Internal Medicine, specifically in the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy & Clinical Immunology. This role is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. Faculty members in this series are expected to participate in teaching, maintain professional expertise, engage in scholarly or creative endeavors, and contribute to university and public service.

The primary focus of this role will be outpatient care, with some responsibilities for inpatient consultations. The position will also involve collaboration with the University’s Residency and Fellowship programs. Key responsibilities include the management of soft tissue rheumatism and autoimmune disorders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications (required at the time of application)

• Possession of an M.D. or an equivalent degree.

• Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology.

• Eligibility for medical licensure in California.

• Demonstrated experience in managing soft tissue rheumatism and autoimmune diseases to ensure high-quality clinical care.

• Proficiency in biological therapies and familiarity with ACR Guidelines, including an understanding of potential drug interactions.

• Experience in teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows is essential.

• A collaborative and collegial approach to working within a diverse environment.

Preferred qualifications (additional qualifications that are advantageous but not mandatory)

• A robust background or clinical training in immunology is highly preferred.
