About the Opportunity

A growing alternative medicine clinic in Folsom is seeking a  motivated, compassionate, and highly adaptable part-time team member to support the doctor and the day-to-day operations of the practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a small, growing practice and truly become an integral part of the team. The ideal candidate will be a  go-getter who sees the vision of the clinic, is open-minded, eager to learn, and willing to take initiative . As the practice continues to grow, the hours, responsibilities, and opportunity for advancement are expected to increase.

The clinic works with a diverse patient population, including individuals dealing with dementia, cancer, thyroid conditions, and other complex health concerns. Because of this,  patience, kindness, empathy, and excellent communication skills are extremely important .

Key Responsibilities

• Return patient phone calls and provide clear, compassionate assistance
• Communicate with patients and help explain information or next steps
• Order labs and supplements as directed
• Review and organize documentation
• Assist with EHR-related tasks and maintain accurate patient information
• Handle various administrative responsibilities to take tasks off the doctor's plate
• Help build and improve internal systems and processes
• Follow up with team members to ensure assignments and responsibilities are being completed
• Help coordinate and schedule speaking engagements and other opportunities for the doctor
• Manage and maintain the clinic's social media presence
• Assist with basic social media marketing and content coordination
• Identify areas where the practice needs support and proactively step in
• Provide general administrative and operational support as the practice grows
• Communicate regularly with the doctor regarding priorities and help execute whatever is needed

Preferred Background

A candidate with previous  Medical Assistant experience could be an excellent fit, particularly someone who understands medical terminology, has experience working with patients, and is familiar with EHR systems and clinical documentation.

Experience with  social media, marketing, administrative support, scheduling, or practice operations would also be highly valuable.

This is an  alternative medicine practice that takes a holistic approach to patient care and incorporates spirituality into the patient experience. The doctor is an energy worker and medical intuitive, and the practice encourages patients to explore these areas as part of their overall wellness journey.

Because of the clinic's philosophy, it is important that the person joining the team is  open-minded, respectful, and comfortable working in an environment that incorporates alternative and spiritual approaches to wellness .

Schedule & Growth

The initial schedule is expected to be approximately 2–3 days per week, around 5 hours per day (10–15 hours per week) . The clinic is extremely flexible regarding which days and hours are worked for the right candidate.

The position is primarily remote, although there may occasionally be a need to go into the Folsom office. This would  not be a regular in-office requirement .

This is a practice experiencing significant growth, and the goal is for the right person to gradually take on more hours, responsibilities, and ownership of the role.  For the right candidate, this part-time opportunity could ultimately develop into a full-time position.
