About the role

\n

The Field Training Manager (FTM) is responsible for managing a team of Field Training Officers while also developing, administering, and facilitating training curriculum for diverse audiences within the Datacenter Physical Security program. The role serves as a Training Business Partner, working closely with Regional Security Managers (RSMs) and Campus Security Managers (CSMs) to balance regional and metro needs with program-wide initiatives. Training is delivered across diverse audiences and formats including in person and virtual sessions and requires close coordination with operational leadership to ensure that learning strategies support business priorities. The FTM also plays a key role in maintaining visibility of training activities through tools, while engaging in global initiatives and wider security projects as a subject matter expert.

What you’ll do

\n

In this role, you will lead and support a distributed team of Field Training Officers (FTOs) in the Western region of the US to achieve operational and training goals. You will work with Regional Security Managers (RSMs) and Campus Security Managers (CSMs) to identify training needs and develop programs that address them. You will plan, prepare, and deliver training sessions for officers, supervisors, managers, and headquarters-based teams, while also managing the documentation and reporting processes that keep training content aligned with operational standards. You will oversee compliance with the Core Training Plan and the Securitas Learning Management System, conduct audits, provide compliance reports, and carry out site visits to ensure training quality and consistency. You will align subregional training delivery across FTMs, analyze results to identify gaps, and recommend action plans. You will maintain a training matrix to coordinate initiatives and provide visibility to operational leadership. You will also participate as a subject matter expert in regional and global training initiatives, embedding program standards and best practices. In addition, you will mentor and coach new FTOs, assist with New Hire Training Plans as needed, and provide support with new manager training in cases where a hiring manager is not present or not yet trained, applying your programmatic and regional knowledge to bridge the gap.

What you need to apply

To apply for this role, you should have at least three years of training-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You should have three to five years of experience in training program development and implementation, along with one to three years of management experience. Strong preference for a candidate that lives in the Western region of the United States. A bachelor’s degree in training, education, or a related field is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Excel is required. You must be legally authorized to work in the country and possess reliable communication and transportation.

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess the legal right to work in the job location. A valid passport or ability to obtain a passport immediately is essential. Travel (international or domestic, as required) up to 40% of the time, occasionally with limited notice may be required in the role, as well working evening or weekend hours when required, such as during an emergency or high-priority event. Candidates must also be willing to undergo the company’s pre employment screening process, which includes a background check and drug screening. You must be able to maintain professionalism and composure in urgent or high-pressure situations and handle sensitive or confidential information responsibly. Physical demands include frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
