Guidance Counselor

Job Description We are seeking a compassionate, student-focused, and dedicated Middle School Guidance Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of middle school students and is committed to fostering a positive and nurturing school environment where all students can thrive. This individual will build strong relationships with students, families, and staff while providing guidance and support that promotes student success. The successful candidate should also be highly organized and comfortable managing student scheduling, academic planning, and related counseling programs. Other Information Seminole County Public Schools uses the statewide screening database, Care Provider Clearinghouse to determine the eligibility of prospective employees. The Care Provider Clearinghouse is administered by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) for background screening results for persons screened for employment or licensure that provide services to children, the elderly and disabled individuals. The Clearinghouse allows the results of criminal history checks to be shared among participating agencies, reducing duplication and costs; including more up to date information and on-line tracking of the screening process.
