Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Overtime is available
• No rotating shifts
• Paid holidays (no waiting period)

Work Environment:

• Mobile service role supporting refuse customers throughout the Uniontown, PA area
• Mobile service role supporting ambulance customers throughout the Uniontown, PA area
• Mobile service role supporting apparatus customers throughout the Morgantown, WV area
• Work performed at customer locations with a fully equipped service vehicle
• Specialty work on refuse trucks and heavy-duty waste equipment

Key Job Duties:

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on fire and emergency apparatus, including chassis, body systems, water pumps, electrical components, and engines
• Operate and inspect equipment to identify problems and determine the most effective repair solution to return apparatus to safe operating condition
• Inspect parts and components for damage or excessive wear using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment
• Repair, rebuild, overhaul, or replace defective components such as gauges, air fittings, plumbing lines and valves, hydraulic lines, pumps, and basic engine components
• Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation, efficiency, and safety before returning the apparatus to service

Requirements:

What we're looking for:

• Diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty trucks or refuse vehicles
• Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening
