About the Role
The Company is in search of a visionary and influential SVP, Senior Actuary to join its Individual Life Division. This executive will play a pivotal role in shaping the division's financial strategy, driving enterprise growth, and modernizing actuarial capabilities. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing financial insights that lead to profitable growth and long-term value creation. Responsibilities include leading forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis, as well as influencing decisions related to reinsurance, investments, capital, and risk management. The role demands a transformational leader who can champion the use of advanced analytics, AI-enabled processes, and modern actuarial technologies, and who is adept at simplifying complex concepts to drive business action. Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of life insurance actuarial experience, with a strong background in leadership and a deep expertise in life insurance products, valuation, pricing, and financial management. The ideal candidate will be a credentialed actuary (FSA required) and possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field. A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, as well as the ability to influence and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, is essential. The role requires a leader who is familiar with modern actuarial platforms, data and analytics capabilities, and emerging technologies in the insurance industry. Experience with Bermuda regulatory frameworks is a plus.
