You must have the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as company clients and vendors.What does the Paint Lead do at SpecSys?Ensure that departmental productivity targets are met to meet customer requirementsPromote and enforces compliance of safety policies and proceduresDrive company vehicles between company locations picking or delivering productProvide daily work direction to paint personnelApprove employee time cardsCoordinate orders with management and purchasing department for paint / shop suppliesEnsure QC processes and procedures are adhered toMaintain accurate equipment maintenance and repair logsCoordinate equipment repairs as neededConduct employee performance reviews and coach employeesHazardous Waste Management TrainingInventory ControlWaste ControlProvide training to paint personalDocument paint usageMaintain sand blasting and paint equipmentTransfer work orders to locationsWhat are we looking for in a quality candidate for Paint Lead?A detailed understanding of paint processes and shop capabilitiesAbility to read and understand written informationA basic understanding of computer software, such as Word and ExcelAble to identify problems and review information5+ years of industrial paint experience or an Auto Body degreeCan lift up to 50 lbs.Able to be on their feet for 8+ hours a dayOR any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performanceMany tasks include their own work and/or the review of work of others in the department.
