Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide therapeutic services through individual and group counseling sessions, offering guidance and support to clients dealing with emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs and create personalized treatment plans, which may include outlining discharge plans based on a comprehensive psychosocial assessment.

• Utilize crisis intervention strategies effectively, while maintaining professionalism during challenging scenarios with clients.

• Document client progress diligently, ensuring that all clinical notes and updates are accurate, timely, and in compliance with department policies and regulations.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health care teams to communicate client progress and needs, advocating for appropriate interventions based on clinical observations.

• Engage with community resource groups, representing New Dawn Wellness at meetings to address broader social needs of our clients, and building relationships that enhance our organizational outreach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a broad range of clients, including individuals with emotional distress, families facing relational challenges, and those dealing with substance abuse issues. Our diverse clientele reflects the rich cultural fabric of Irvine, and you will need to adapt your therapeutic approaches to meet varying individual backgrounds and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an outpatient counseling setting, demonstrating a track record of successful patient outcomes.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
\n
• An active LMFT license in the state of California, ensuring compliance with state regulations and standards.

• Proficient in using technology for documentation and communication, including electronic medical records, spreadsheets, and general office software.

• Capacity to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for clear client interactions and effective documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a community health clinic setting or with specific therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or solution-focused therapy is highly desirable. Familiarity with substance use disorder interventions would also be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
