About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Finance & Investments to take on a pivotal leadership role in the organization's financial and investment management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, both for the company and the partner organizations it serves. This role also involves overseeing investment performance, managing relationships with investment managers and custodian banks, and ensuring the integrity of the annual audit, tax, and regulatory filings. The Vice President will be a key figure in maintaining the company's Charitable Remainder Trust and Charitable Lead Trust administration, and will supervise the Controller, providing guidance and support to the financial team. Applicants for the Vice President of Finance & Investments position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or MBA being preferred. A minimum of 7-10 years' of experience in accounting or financial management, with a preference for those with a background in nonprofit or foundation work, is required. The role demands a professional with a strong working knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and investment management principles, as well as experience in supervising staff and managing external financial relationships. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader, bringing sound judgment, discretion, and the highest ethical standards to their work, in line with the company's core values of inclusion, stewardship, endurance, and integrity.
